1999 Miata, 102k miles, $2995
As far as I can tell the only thing wrong is the bumper. Those can't be hard to find, can they?

You think someone would have fixed that bumper by now.

Mileage is a bit high but that's cheap.

NP, that's about what I paid for mine, and it looks to be in better condition with fewer miles. Honestly, if it had been listed at that price earlier when I was lookign for one I'd have bought that instead of the one I have.

Tempted to fly down from Dallas and buy it now.

100k miles on a 15 year old car is high? Or period? That thing isn't even halfway home!

Thats a good price, especially if its in good mechanical shape and the top fits!
I payed 4500$ for mine.
Check for a leaky valve cover gasket and torn ball joint boots.

I would be weary of 4 banger with 100k on the clock. On a V8 it's no big deal but a 4 banger will probably need a new timing belt and other maintenance items.
I am not saying I wouldn't buy a 4 banger with 100k on the clock, just pay close attention to it.

NP all day. Wish it was closer to me.

NP for sure

Much NP. Wow. Such money.
Much better than that mazadaspeed that was on here earlier.

Since when does # of cylinders equate to reliability or longevity?

DO IT.

8 cylinders have to work less than 4 to get the job done. 4 banger needs to rev high to make power and work harder. V8 can lazily get the job done, especially in older Murican cars that were so underpowered.
I would put up an old pushrod V8 over any other motor in longevity test.

That's just pushrods vs. timing belts.
The miata needs a timing belt every 60k. (good to do the water pump at 120k as well)

That's a great deal. 99's are one of the most desirable model years for Spec Miata. 102K miles is not bad, and 3K is about the floor for a decent NA/NB Miata. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it if the car checks out. I paid much more for my 99 back in 2008!

That's a pretty lazy argument in my opinion.

I wish I could...
I'm not really in a position to buy at the moment unfortunately

100k is not high for a Miata. From what I've read they don't really tire out until 200,000, which gives me at least a decade of driving.

I know right?

I'm tempted to fly down from Wichita and buy it, but I'm not in a good place to buy it.
Must...save...for house....

V8's also have more moving parts. That means more things to break.
